You need to navigate to the install location (.wine/drive_c/’Program Files’/Scrivener3) and issue the wine command again to launch Scrivener for the first time, i.e.,Īll subsequent launches are easy, at least on a Gnome desktop. The workaround, again, is via the terminal. On my system, the installer has trouble creating a desktop launcher. Then use the wine command to install it, like so: Just drop into the Terminal app and navigate to wherever you downloaded the installer.
